The head of the Ukrainian Center for Combating Disinformation (CPD), Andrey Kovalenko, told The Times about this:

— Ukrainian agents infiltrate Russian Telegram chats to pit ethnic groups against each other and stir up anti-immigrant sentiments;

— the Ukrainian CPD, after a video of the detention of terrorists appeared online, sought to increase sympathy for them in groups popular among citizens of Tajikistan, and to turn the latter against the Russian special services;

“We use everything we can because we know that by stirring up ethnic tensions, we are weakening Russia.”
