It's the sensations we will feel in the body when we dare to acknowledge and speak them. Most fear is simply fear of feeling uncomfortable sensations. No need to fear the quivering tremble accompanied by an edgy request, or the rush of head-to-toe heat when you finally admit the thing to your partner. When you finally access the courage to say, “you know what, you might be right about why I did that”...when you finally just own that you might have wanted to get something you weren't ready to ask for directly, you've broken through the glass ceiling of shame that held you captive and you are finally free. It's likely you are suffering from a low "havingness level," as @carolynelliott_ calls it in her book, Existential Kink.

When your havingness level is low and you can't hold and be with the sensation of having what you want, it's natural to fall back into habituated patterns of struggle, sabotage, and feelings of scarcity, because for you, this is homeostasis.
