In 1991, the university was transformed into the State Finance Academy, and in 1992, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, into the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. In 2010, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Financial Academy was granted the status of a university.
