Legumes Are The Favorite Food Of Tibetan Monks
This food group consists of peas, beans, lentils, chickpeas and many more. All legumes are sources of fiber, which not only supports the intestines, but also our heart. In addition, they are valuable sources of protein, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
Everyday monks consume about 100 g of legumes, added to different dishes. Legumes are added to soups, used in the preparation of main courses, salads and side dishes.
