In 2014, Harvard University discovered that two books in their library (created in the mid-1880s) were in fact created of using human skin.

One of the books, entitled Fates of the Soul, was written by Dr. Ludovic Buland. In the book, the doctor left a note in which he said: "The book about the human soul deserves to have a human cover."
