Prison Alcatraz or Scala.

The prison on the island of Alcatraz, where especially dangerous American criminals were kept, worked until 1963 and was the only prison where the prisoners took a warm shower.

But the reason for this was by no means humanistic considerations: the administration decided that prisoners, accustomed to comfort, were less likely to successfully escape by swimming through the cold San Francisco Bay.
