Today is my birthday, and for most of my life I've been a tech guy who is creating multimillion and multibillion dollar businesses, and is focused on revenue. Why is revenue so important to me? Because it infuses a meaning into the technology that I’m building: software engineering is a very engaging process, like a game, and I’m always asking myself: do I just entertain myself or do I do something valuable for society? And my answer here is simple: if a tech that I’m building generates fast growing-sales, then it's a really meaningful activity. Many people think that businessmen shall focus only on profits, however I believe that it’s wrong: if the revenue is growing fast, and the growth of costs is under control, then rather quickly any business will start generating huge profits.

Now I’m on a paternity leave from business taking care of my fifth child, this beautiful lady, and dreaming about creating a tech company working at eldercare market, which is currently $1T a year in US however will keep growing as boomers are going to retire and divest even more from their $35T end of life savings. I plan to start only next year, and have time available when this adorable child is sleeping.
