Sprite turns scannable bottles into tickets for virtual hip-hop concerts
The guys at Coca-Cola have launched a cool modern activation to promote the Sprite brand. They put QR codes on the bottles of the drink, which are tickets to a virtual rap concert.
This is a great example of modern activation:
1. After the pandemic, virtual concerts are more relevant than ever.
2. Reading QR codes by users helps to collect a lot of user information. This is especially important because Google “kills” cookies.
3. Linking brand image with hip-hop culture is great for increasing sales and brand awareness. This trend has been working for many years and, it seems, is not going to go away yet.
