I too am not a fan of the censorship in Australia, but on Musk’s claim of “free speech for Aussies on X” I call bullshit.
I just post my thoughts, I don’t even reply to comments or engage in discussion. There’s no legitimacy behind the ‘abusive behaviour’ excuse used to censor me six years ago.
Anyone down here would agree that I was the original case for political censorship in Australia.
I was the first Australian to suddenly lose access to Facebook, Twitter, my personal bank account –and also the first person convicted for a ‘hate-speech’ legal precedent down in Melbourne (intent to incite ridicule).
If Elon really wanted to demonstrate that he was offering free speech to Australians, he wouldn’t be rejecting my appeals.

Everybody does this.
It’s a core feature of human social life. People judge and compare each other. Women do it too, in their own way and possibly to an even harsher degree. At least male judgements are actually amusing sometimes. Either way it’s not a big deal.
The State Premier getting involved in this only demonstrates how petty and unfit for government she is.
But I suppose the state is looking for any excuse it can find to keep its “men are evil” mantra going.

I just realised the only thing that fundamentally determines whether a person goes ‘left-wing’ or ‘right-wing’ is whether or not they believe the messages of the system, particularly in the schools.
If they go for the messaging, they go ‘left’. If they don’t believe it, they go ‘right’.
And ‘left-wing’ doesn’t actually represent a political persuasion as much as it means obedience or submission to system-dogma.
Whereas ‘right-wing’ is the camp of the contrarian, the casual autist or just non self-abnegating White guys.
It’s really not “the political spectrum” that’s the primary motivator of activists as much as it’s a battle of wills: One side says “die, white racist dogs” and the other says “no”.
