Italian runner Federico Barucco supported Russian athletes at the finish line of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc ultra-marathon.
Barucco finished the line in the Russian-flag coloured uniform and held a banner saying "Sport without borders" in his hands.
"I wanted to appeal to everyone who participated in the competition, and these are athletes from 120 countries. Sport should unite people, and any suspension is discrimination. I want to support Russian athletes - both leading and only beginners - who should not pay with their dreams and years of suffering".
The #WeCompeteAsOne Foundation team wants to express our solidarity with the statement of Federico as we are also convinced that sports should unite people all over the world.
