Elon Musk's company received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over a Twitter post in 2018.

Back then, the Tesla founder wrote he was ready to purchase shares from shareholders and privatize the car company.

According to Bloomberg, the subpoena was filed on Nov. 16, 2021, and sought details about the company's governance processes and possible problems with the agreement that was reached after the settlement of a past lawsuit against Tesla.
