Fact about the flood. The stumps of swamp cypresses at the bottom of a sand pit
In Hungary, four to eight-metre high stumps have been found at the bottom of an open sand pit. Remarkably, these stumps are perfectly preserved and the wood is not hardened. The thickness of the stumps is impressive. One of them is three metres in diameter at the butt.
Apparently, no other trees were found in the quarry. But these stumps are in a cluster - it means that the others were swept away by the mudflow
