Eurasia: Total Recall is the next iteration of the
Tashkent-Tbilisi initiative. The program will revolve around a series of talks and conversations with artists, writers, and activists who are investigating the transient geographies and overlapping cultures of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Apart from raising awareness of the complex colonial and imperial histories and realities of these regions, the participants of
Eurasia: Total Recall will be discussing new discursive impasses and ways to rethink theoretical frameworks and vocabularies that are often misused.
The first episode of
Eurasia: Total Recall will take place as a part of the Sandberg Instituut’s graduation show and will focus on the problem of perverse decolonization, self-orientalism, and esoterica.
