Cottage Cheese & Poppy Seed Pie

Ingredients:

Dough:
• butter - 100g
• sugar - 50g
• egg - 1 unit
• baking powder - 1 tsp.
• vanillin - to taste
• flour - 200g
Filling:
• cottage cheese - 500g
• poppy seed - 120g
• sugar - 150g
• egg - 2 units
• starch - 2 tbsp.

Method:

1. Melt the butter, add sugar and egg, stir, add flour and baking powder. Knead the dough, spread it on a form (lined with baking paper), form the edges. Let it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
2. Pour boiling water over poppy seeds and leave for 20 minutes, then drain. Grate the cottage cheese, add starch and eggs, mix. Divide the filling into two parts, one part should be larger (about 150 grams). Add poppy seeds in the smaller part.
3. Place in the middle of the mold filled with the dough 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds and 1 tablespoon of cottage cheese. The filling will spread over the form. Use a skewer to make a pattern.
Bake the pie in a preheated to 180ºC oven for 1 hour.
