I personally like the word challenging much better than hard, difficult, complicated, tricky.

To my mind, it sounds much more positive, it shows that what you’re facing is not easy to do, but it’s possible. When you do / overcome it, it’ll make you stronger and bring you to the next level.

What can be challenging?

Moving abroad was a challenging decision for me, but I’m happy I did it 8 years ago. It’s been a great experience!

TOUR vs VOYAGE

TOUR
A tour is a journey during which several places are visited, especially on a holiday.

'Tour' can be a noun or a verb.

Noun: We went on a tour of Italy.
Verb: We toured the north of Japan.

VOYAGE
A voyage is a long journey by sea or in space.

Before the 20th century, long sea voyages were common.
A spacecraft will take you on a voyage through space.

TRAVEL vs TRIP vs JOURNEY

TRAVEL
The word 'travel' is used to talk about going from one place to another.

It can be a verb, a noun or an adjective:

Verb: Paul travels a lot in his job.
Noun: Travel nowadays is faster than before.
Adjective: There is a travel agency beside the bank.

TRIP
The word trip is used to talk about a short journey somewhere for a purpose, business or pleasure.

For our wedding anniversary, we went on a trip to Venice.

My boss is often away on business trips.

During our holiday we took a boat trip to the islands.

JOURNEY
A journey is the distance covered when travelling from one place to another.
'Journey' can refer to a long distance or a short regular one.

The journey was long and tiring. It took us 5 hours to get there.

Did you have a good journey? Yes, it was quite pleasant.

How long is your journey to work? Just about 20 minutes.

In the meanwhile we’re starting May Programme in SL English Speaking Club.

In April, we made changes to the programme and focused on grammar, so the participants appreciated it (see comments)!

In May we are having something new again: a mix of grammar and vocabulary (see comments)!

The May program is the last one before the summer holidays, so join us to:

become the member of the community of cool people who are learning English as a hobby and it is a part of their lifestyle;

I live in Turkey, and today is an special day here: the beginning of the Ramadan Feast.

The Ramadan Feast is a time for visiting relatives and paying one’s respect to older people.

Many people wake up early on the first day of the Ramadan Feast. They put on their best clothes, which they often buy specifically for the occasion, and have a large breakfast. This symbolizes the end of the fasting period, which many Muslims observe during the preceding month of Ramadan.

The Ramadan Feast has an alternative name in Turkey, the Sugar Feast (Şeker Bayramı), because people treat their guests to sweets and traditional desserts during the festival.

It is customary to visit one's relatives, especially older ones, and kiss their hand as a sign of respect. Children may go door-to-door, kissing hands of the grown-ups and receiving sweets and small amounts of money in return.
