2022-05-31 14:28:22 Describe an interesting talk or lecture you heard.

I'm going to talk about the first EPAM Insider conference which was held at Inha university in tashkent on february twenty third twenty nineteen.

I'd been impatiently waiting for the day that the reps of EPAM finally come to tashkent to represent their company because I'm going to make a career change soon and this company might be my first employer if i'm lucky enough.

I came across this event on telegram. A good friend of mine had mentioned it. To provide you some with some background, EPAM is a leading provider of software development services and the purpose of the conference was to create a platform where IT professionals can share experiences, real business cases and skills and the reps of EPAM talked about modern technology delivery and project management and digital practice.

They also talked about what projects they were working with and how to grow in an international company. On top of that, there was a programming competition called "i can code". One of my students beat everyone in the first round but in the second round everyone beat him.

The most interesting part of the event was a short clip about the latest technological advancements. It showed a family that lived in a digital house where everything looked so magical. The mother puts some salad on her baby's plate and the plate shows how many calories and nutrients it contains. And a baby girl is playing with her toys and there is a cute 3D bird flying outside the window and the window shows the word BIRD in big colorful letters.

This made me realize the true power of technology. I came to realize that sooner or later everything around us that we call life will be affected by technology which is based on code this realization was "the spark that ignited the fire" (I'm not sure if this phrase is OK to use in this context) in me to learn coding as much as possible because i really wanna be a part of this change.

2022-05-28 08:39:04 I'm going to tell you about how i used to wanna be like my history history teacher when i was in high school

He was the type of teacher you wouldn't want to mess with as he really could do whatever he said he could. Also when he talked he was the center of attention while i was sort of the unfocused, social outcast type. i'll explain these more in detail

Even though he didn't really look very athletic or smart he was physically and mentally strong man who seem to love challenges.

One day he found out that one on my classmates one was one of the best ping pong players in school and he said "let's make a bet if i beat you in ping pong you will organize a party for teachers"

Thinking that the match with this old man would be a piece of cake, my classmate agreed. The match was fierce and we were astonished by our teachers ping pong skills. He was so fast.

The next day, all the teachers enjoyed a little party in the teachers room organized by my classmate.

Later he could beat five guys in basketball single handedly and when he asked if there was anyone willing to challenge him in doing twenty pull ups no one agreed.

Reflecting back, I think what I most wish to inherit from him was his confidence to take on challenges and to be okay with being the center of attention. It seems like i always avoided taking on the challenges that could help me strengthen my self confidence.

I especially wished i had his athletic ability as i would like to do more physical activity. However as i've gotten older, i realized that we cannot compare ourselves to other people because we all have different strengths and weaknesses. Still I admire him for his abilities as well as self-confidence.
