Cinestill 50D is a modern photographic film based on the Kodak Vision 3 50D. To allow development with the standard C-41 process, this movie film is treated by removing the anti-halation layer and stabilizing the emulsion with a special solution.

The key difference between Cinestill 50D and Kodak Vision 3 50D is in the more pronounced halation effect, both locally and globally. This has a beneficial effect on skin tones, which appear even more tanned. Cinestill 50D film profile is best suited for bright sunny images.
