Across the globe legislators are scrambling to figure out ways to keep crypto investing in check, and some recent legislation in Canada looks to significantly affect the way Canadians invest in crypto.

A total of nine provinces in Canada have decided to restrict the amount of cryptocurrency users may buy in a year. Users may not exceed $30,000 in annual purchases on any coin other than Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. This limit may only be lowered by selling off previously owned altcoins - now being referred to as “restricted cryptocurrencies”.

The Australian Football League (AFL) 's first limited edition drop of NFTs priced at 34.39 USDC sold out in just under 12 hours, raising over $130,000.

AFL also shared its plans to expand on the concept and offer game day events, tickets, and the chance to meet players in the Metaverse.

The AFL announced their NFT marketplace, AFL Mint, back in April, revealing they signed a five-year partnership with Be Media, a Perth-based subsidiary of Hong Kong NFT gaming giant Animoca Brands.
