When I was younger I really romanticized rural life and dreamed of raising cattle, pigs, horses, etc. That's what many of my ancestors did. Later on I realized that what had me wanting to escape the city was being surrounded by non-white people in my day to day life, some of them nice and decent and some of them not, but none I felt any kind of intuitive affinity with. This, along with the high cost of urban living in many places, is what is driving both liberal and conservative whites to move away to small towns. Открыть/Комментировать
