I used to believe the anime avatars seeding stupid narratives, spreading gossip or engaging in bad faith attacks in chat groups were just mentally retarded pedophiles. It turns out that in at least some cases they are bona fide Israelis running infiltration campaigns and psy ops. They are apparently very active on Discord, Telegram and 4chan.
