The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the CERD, has just published its findings on Azerbaijan's 13th-14th Report: Contrary to the tradition of UN bodies, Az violations erbaidjan principles of the convention for the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination - ICERD - are exposed in very clear terms. The findings of the CERD are relentless: they deal with the main aspects of these violations (war crimes, torture and mistreatment of prisoners of war, teaching of racial hatred in schools, destruction of heritage Armenian cultural ine, hate speech by Azerbaijani senior leaders, racial discrimination towards Armenians whether they are of Armenian nationality or origin).
These conclusions are a tool of very great political value in the hands of Armenian, official, parliamentary and popular diplomacy.
