SIDI – the School on Internet Governance, Digital Policies and Innovation|| 31 May – 11 June 2021, online

SIDI is co-organised by the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA),Romania, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and the South Eastern European Dialogue on Internet Governance (SEEDIG)
Eligibility:
- SIDI 2021 is open to graduate students and professionals from any stakeholder group (academia, civil society, governments, intergovernmental organisations, private sector, and technical community).
- The school is mainly addressed to citizens or residents of economies in South Eastern Europe and the neighbouring area (SEE+), but other applicants are welcome as well.
- All participants need to possess good English speaking, writing and listening skills.
Main directions of the program:
- Setting the scene: from technology to policy
- Internet infrastructure
- Security, trust and digital rights
- Digital economy and society
- Future societies (artificial intelligence, smart cities, the future of work)
- Digital policy from a regional perspective
Participation:
Selected participants are expected to engage prior to, during and after SIDI with the school coordinators, peers and lectures. Participants will be asked to:
- Go through some preparatory materials before the start of SIDI
- Actively participate in the lectures, debates and exercises included in the programme during SIDI
- Submit a report and fill out an evaluation survey after SIDI
Certificate:
At the conclusion of SIDI, participants meeting the attendance requirements will receive a certificate issued by the school organisers and partners. For students, the successful completion of the programme will be equivalent to 3 ECTS credits
The School has a standard tuition fee of
250€ for each selected participant.
A number of scholarships to cover full or partial tuition fees will be available.
