A bit of a background on why Galicia is so anti-Russian

During WW1, Austrians deported over 100k galician russophiles to what is now Graz airport and genocided them. Russian imperial troops were retreating from Galicia so they couldn’t stop the genocide. This is the reason why Galicia nowadays has barely any russophiles. In addition, the last remaining part of the Rusyn built Lvov (Podzamche district) was destroyed. Now, not a single there is Russian. Entire city is either German rebuilt, or it’s commie blocks on the outskirts. I don’t see honestly why Ukrainian nationalists are so proud of Lvov and call it “the cultural center of Ukraine”, when there is nothing even remotely Slavic in the city. It’s a typical city built by the Germanic civilization. Only by commie blocks, you are able to tell that you’re located in a formerly Russian city, and not by actual traditional Russian architecture. It’s a truly lost region for both Russians and Poles that became the cradle of ukrainianism. This tragic history of Galician Rus’ must serve as an example to what will happen to the Russian cultural legacy, and legacy of ethnic self-identification on other Malorussian lands if Russia was to stop or lose.
