Street food dish with your own hands: Tacos de pescado - Такосы с рыбой
Ingredients:16 tortillas
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup whole milk
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 limes
2 cups flour
1 bottle dark beer
0,5 kg firm white fish (catfish, cod, halibut, or tilapia), cut into strips 9 cm by 3 cm
½ head green cabbage, finely shredded
1 avocado, sliced
½ bunch cilantro
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Recipe:In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, milk, garlic, sour cream, and the juice of half of a lime.
Cut the rest of the limes into quarters.
Pour the oil into a skillet and heat it to 210 ºC over a medium-high flame. Mix flour, beer, and salt to make the batter. Dip the pieces of the fish into the batter and fry them 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown.
Strain the fish using paper towels and season with a bit of salt.
Put the tortillas on a plate. Put a piece of fish into each tortilla, top it with some cabbage, sauce, an avocado slice, and cilantro leaves.
Serve with lime wedges on the side.
