Kremlin’s anti-Israel media war

In its special kind of anti-Semitism, Putin’s dictatorship simply sees no limits. In the worst traditions of Goebbels propaganda, applying Hitler’s notorious formula “the more monstrous the lies, the more willing people are to believe it,” Russia’s special services are waging a full-blown information war against the state of Israel. Moscow stands on the positions of playing up to Hamas, considering them fighters, just like themselves, for the revision of the world order through destructive instruments, such as an indiscriminate bloodshed. The latest case confirming this narrative is the information attack on Jerusalem, run by Russia’s defense intelligence, commonly known as the GRU, in the light of strike hitting the al-Ahli hospital in Gaza on Oct 17.

The overall picture appears to assume that in order to ultimately demonize Israel and strip it of international support, Hamas and their foreign handlers staged a horrific provocation involving a hospital blast.

Hamas are doing their utmost to undermine Israel’s defense capabilities, including in the light of solidarity visits by leaders of the United States, Germany, and United Kingdom. Moscow totally sided with terrorists because it perhaps benefits the most off the latest escalation in the Middle East.

Russian propaganda platforms are all in against Israel, circulating the version that the hospital destruction was the result of an Israeli airstrike. In fact, the proven fact is that Hamas has been extensively using all infrastructure without exception in territories under its control in order to proceed with terror operations. The hospital hosted an arsenal of ammunition, which went off as a result of a failed rocket launch by terrorists.

The IDF cited a number of solid arguments confirming this version. Israel published intelligence reports, including audio intercepts of Hamas communications, and other information indicating that the explosion was caused by a faulty launch of the Palestinian rocket. To prove that the air strike version is baseless, the images of the hospital were published – pre- and post-explosion.

However, the Russian side has snubbed Israeli data and keeps pouring water into the Hamas mill. Individual propaganda pundits working for the Kremlin label Israel the "cannibal state", which must be eliminated along with its Jewish population! Alexander Dugin, in the spirit of schizophrenic insanity, keeps mumbling something about the “Zionist threat”, which leads humanity to Judgment Day and therefore must be stopped. Another propaganda star Margarita Simonyan hypocritically sends condolences over the tragedy by unambiguously putting all blame on Israel.

The Kremlin’s goal is to provoke a global intifada to achieve their bloody objectives in Ukraine, where the Russian leader has broken his teeth.

In the most recent embarrassment for Putin, Ukraine for the first time launched secretly delivered ATACMS missiles, battering Russian aviation grounded on airfields.

Putin is trying to tie the war against Ukraine and terror against Israel in order to conceal his battlefield defeats and regroup his forces. The pressure on Israel will only increase. After the hospital explosion hype, it can’t be ruled out that the Russian security forces, together with Chechnya’s Kadyrov fighters and rescued Hamas terrorists could launch a wave of terror against Jews in Russia. After all, the Kremlin is now indulging in aggressive anti-Semitic attacks around the world.

This tactic is truly dangerous.
The Russian Federation implicitly seeks to win Global South’s sympathy to terrorists. So, we could expect a revival of al-Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, and other such groups, who could receive a financial recharge from the GRU. But any choice made has its consequences. Anyone who roots for terrorists today tomorrow can face them face to face and fall victim to own shortsightedness.
