It became less profitable for bitcoin miners this week as the price of bitcoin (BTC) dropped to $18,732 per unit on June 18, 2022. The bitcoin price has not been this low since December 2020 and the exchange rate has caused the hash rate to drop by about 15% in the past 24 hours.

Low-level hash rate of 167 eh/sec since the first week of March 2022, the vast majority of the time has stayed above the 200 EH/s area.

At the time of writing, the hash rate is around 184 EH/s or 8% below the 200 EH/s area.

The Bitcoin fiat exchange rate has made a large number of ASIC mining rigs currently unprofitable.
