In Canada, they came up with cement-free eco-concrete from waste. It is stronger than usual.
Canadian company CarbiCrete launches a startup for the production of aerated concrete from waste. Instead of conventional cement, steel slag (waste from metal production) and carbon dioxide are used. As a result of their contact, calcium carbonates are formed.
The company claims that the material is durable and resistant to temperature changes. It is expected to produce 450 tons of concrete per day — 25 thousand bricks.
