DDoS атаки на українські сайти

Доброго дня, шановні підписники каналу SEO Inside.

Починаючи з 20 березня 2022 року контент тут публікується українською або англійською мовою.

Тепер щодо теми топіка. Як відомо з початку віроломного нападу Росії на Україну, окупанти використовують усі види зброї, у тому числи намагаються проводити DDoS атаки на українські сайти.

Я приводжу фрагмент відповіді відомого співробітника Google, яку він надав з цього приводу.

"I think there are multiple aspects to consider. First, if the hoster is attacked, the hosted sites can't do all that much other than waiting or moving to a different hoster if possible at all.
If they do move to a different hoster, they might want to consider solutions that attempt to deal with bad traffic:
- if the site falls into one of the categories that Project Shield (https://projectshield.withgoogle.com/landing) supports and the issue is with DDOS attacks, employing that service might be a solution
- if the site category is not covered by Project Shield, CloudFlare might be a solution since they do amazing network balancing and unwanted traffic protection, iirc even on their free tier.

Moving the sites off of Ukrainian hosters for the time being might also be a viable solution for some sites, especially if moving to a hoster that offers great tech/networking support (i.e. not godaddy which i use). Oftentimes bigger hosters have higher reliability when it comes to full blown cracks/attacks also.

Finally, I'd remind folks that if the site is offline for a couple days, that's not the end of the world from a search perspective. And users can still see the cached page in Search if the information is critical"
