Many of the messages learned in childhood we take with us into adulthood. We broadcast them to ourselves, to those around us, to our children - and they to other people...
How do we break this chain?
It can be difficult to eradicate them completely.
Here's a tip: When a familiar phrase starts to ring in your head, try to think of an unexpected sequel. It's a kind of toxicity neutralizer.
For example:
You want too much - Well done! Dreams and goals are great!
Laughing for no reason is a sign of good cheer, don't be shy to rejoice!
There's nothing of yours here - shall we go and buy it? What do you want?
And so on...
Try not to think about the bad things, live happy about the little things
