Last week, the theme for Kindergarten Assembly was friendship. The various classes discussed what friendship is, how friends treat each other, and how to be good friends to those who maybe don’t yet have friends.
Friendships in early childhood teach children many important lessons through experience. Lessons like how to act appropriately with friends, to share interests, to listen carefully, and becoming more sensitive to the views and needs of friends. Leading the Assembly in the Early Years Assembly, Nursery CC recited a poem about friendship and sang a song celebrating existing friendships and those yet to be made.
