Nature versus science and nature merged with technology, an exploration of two contemporary themes in an installation entitled “Ant Picnic”.

This student exhibition combines artworks from Grades 1 to 4. The ants invite interpretation. Are they a new species of giant ant or are they drones? They appear on the picnic blankets eating. But are they? If they are drones, what is their purpose as surveillance robots or just simple toys? A multifaceted range of ideas is explored in this installation.
