Dear Students,
The Winter Break is coming, and we would like to inform you about check-out procedures and winter stay applications!
First of all, please, be kindly informed about the check-out deadlines. According to the official Academic Calendars, Fall 2022 ends on December 10 (for most of you, you may find the check-out dates in the attachment), and students are given 2 days for check-out. Thus, the check-out deadline is on December 12. You may check-out at any date before this deadline as soon as your finals end.
In order to check-out, please, follow these steps:
Clean your room (dry and wet cleaning)
Put your belongings into wardrobes (you may leave your belongings in the rooms and you don’t need to pay for that, if you check-out on time, before the check-out deadlines)
Unplug all the electric devices, including your room refrigerators (do not forget to empty them)
Clean the floor kitchens and take away your food from kitchen refrigerators.
Lock your room door and you are good to go!
You don’t need to contact your block manager in order to check-out. Just follow the steps above and you may leave.
Students who lived in Fall 2022 do not need to apply again for the dormitory. However, you should stop by the reception of your Block as soon as you arrive back on January 6, 2023. Additionally, you should make your Dormitory payment in advance before your arrival. The check-in details will be sent by the end of December.
If you would like to stay during the break, you may register only for the whole Winter Break period until the start of the Spring 2023 (i.e. you should pay for the whole period from December 13 until January 5 by the commercial tariff).
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you an opportunity to stay for a desired number of days. The only available option is to apply and pay for the whole period.
Regarding the prices, as you know, commercial (end-of-term) tariff is applied during the breaks, as it was approved by the University on May 18, 2018:
End-of-term/commercial tariffs:
460 tenge/day for one bed in 4-bedded room
660 tenge/day for one bed in a double room
1980 tenge/day for one bed in a single room

The deadline: December 2, 15:00.
Those who do not fill the form will be counted as those who completely checked-out and your reservation for Spring 2023 will be canceled.
Important note: please, be kindly informed that after the check-out deadlines, students’ IDs will be checked regularly by security guards and Resident Assistants. Unregistered stay in the dormitory will be considered as a serious rule violation, which results in punishment.
P.S. You may check in back to the dormitory starting from January 6. If you would like to come earlier, you should register and pay for the whole period.
