$146 million to develop a lunar landing module NASA plans to allocate such a huge sum to SpaceX, Blue Origin and three other companies
to develop stable landing modules and evaluate their safety.
Those companies have been given 15 months to work. The biggest payout of $40.8 million is expected for Dynetics. Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman will receive almost identical amounts,
$35.2 million and $34.8 million, respectively. Blue Origin will get
$25.6 million and SpaceX -
$9.4 million.
