What was the Masquerade-Party?
My name is Laura. This was my present to my children. To have an unforgettable memory of magic, friends, and community.
I supplied 200 glow in the dark bracelets, 5 glowing balls, piles of glowing toys, 162 lit-up balloons, posters, quest materials, candy, and a professional photographer.
My helper Valentina came up with an eight station quest and despite the chaos, ran it amazingly. She spent weeks planning, creating, and organizing. We both were outside Sunday morning picking up the trash from the party A huge thank you to her.
Our neighbors provided tables, bowls, candy, decorations, garland, a disco ball, a jack-o'-lantern, music, help decorating, handing out candy, and they came in costume with a party mood. My best estimate was there over 120 children.
This party was for all of us made by us. I wanted to show that we as a community can combine our efforts to create something extraordinary. This is just the beginning.
