Our client is an innovative company on the intersection of the highly-competitive automotive industry and modern software development. Their applications help the industry improve its cost-efficiency. Through the use of data science, mathematics and computational geometry they reshape product costing, purchasing and engineering.

Now they are looking for a Java Developer to build the backend of a scalable cloud-based version of their software as part of their development team. You will drive the main software product forward, having a direct impact in a small dedicated development team.

As a startup with strong industry partnerships, they offer the modern stack of a young company (Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Mongo DB, SQL, microservices.) combined with the product-market fit of an established player. They have clear engineering goals for which they need smart, self-driven people who are looking for ways to challenge themselves and reshape the manufacturing industry.

Must-have skills:
- 3+ years of experience in software development using Kotlin and Java 8+
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework including the Spring Cloud Stack
- Fluent English

Nice-to-have skills:
- TypeScript
- MongoDB
- Docker
- Kubernetes

Tasks:
- Build the backend of the company's software and have influence over shaping the product for the future.
- Work in cross-functional feature teams collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines (Product, Front-end development, DevOps, QA, Design).
- Deliver key results that are aligned with defined company objectives.
- Have opportunities to tackle diverse tasks of backend development.
- Actively participate in internal knowledge exchanges with curiosity to positively impact the daily business.
