мая Посол России А.Д.Викторов оставил запись в книге соболезнований, открытой Министерством иностранных дел Израиля в связи с трагическими событиями на горе Мерон:

« On behalf of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the State of Israel and on my own behalf, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the friendly people of Israel over the devastating tragedy which occurred during the Lag B'Omer festivities at Mount Meron.

We share in the grief with the families and friends of 45 victims who lost their lives in this heartbreaking disaster and wish a swift recovery to those injured.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, and other Russian leaders and officials have sent their condolence messages to extend solidarity with Israel ».
