Hello, world
A remote software development company datarockets.com seeks a
middle-level frontend developer to grow our team.
We want to work with someone who communicates openly and actively, explores technologies (a11y, performance optimization, PWA) and looks for better ways to improve user experience and solve problems.
About the job
We are not looking for a developer for some specific project, rather a person to join our company and then we will form a team for future or current projects.
You might work with our internal projects at first. For client projects, we work in teams of 2-5 developers.
For development we usually use Kanban or similar processes in Trello, Pivotal of Jira, communicate in Slack channels and via Zoom calls, and store documentation in Notion. We also use Holacracy for organizational governance.
Apart from working on projects we will encourage you to gain and share knowledge, discuss your personal development and contribute to company's activities.
You'll have colleagues all around the globe, variety of channels in Slack like #animal-therapy, #cooking, #ihateremotework and remote team spirit.
Expected skills
Proficient knowledge in HTML/CSS/JS
Solid knowledge of some UI framework/library: React, Svelte (currently we use mostly React in our projects and Svelte in just one project).
So if you want to focus on React only, we would be happy to work with you!
If you are interested in Svelte, please don’t hesitate and apply. We have an interesting project for you!
Experience with unit-testing and E2E-testing
Good knowledge of Git
Good to have
Experience working with GraphQL clients: Relay
Experience building design systems
Experience working with server-side rendering (SSR): Next.js
Experience working with typed languages or type checkers: TypeScript, Flow
You can expect a lot from us
Competitive salary 𝚫: up to 2500 USD per month.
Great compensation and benefits: 50% compensation for self-development activities: courses, conferences, books, educational platforms, English, sports.
32 paid days off per year - you can use them for vacations, occasional days off, and public holidays. Only workdays count.
Full coverage of sick leaves.
200 USD per year for medical expenses.
500 USD per year for home office equipment
A great remote culture and team: Even though we’re separated our team makes the effort to connect to one another and we provide in person opportunities to further enhance that bond. We genuinely like each other.
A life outside of work: datarockers generally work 40 hour weeks
