The world's largest iceberg

B-15 is an iceberg that broke away from the Ross Glacier in March 2000, the largest in the history of observations in the world. It had an area of 11,000 km² (295×37 km) and a mass of 3 trillion tons. It completely melted about ten years later.

The B-15 subsequently split into smaller pieces in 2000, 2002, and 2003. The largest of these pieces was the B-15A iceberg, 6,400 km².
