Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Tax & Legal department at the Almaty/Nur-Sultan office.

The role will involve:
• Supervise the work of junior staff on various tax projects and report to senior personnel
• Participate in various tax projects, prepare tax recommendations, advices, reports, memoranda and other deliverables.
• Analyse and keep track of the tax legislative changes, state authorities’ opinions and relevant tax and legal publications, and communicate with the tax authorities and clients where applicable
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with our clients
• Develop junior staff.
Requirements:
• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics. Tax-specific education and/or study at a foreign university would be considered a plus
• ACCA, CPA, CFA or similar qualifications (or obtaining qualification in progress) and accreditations preferred
• 3–4 years of tax consulting or accounting experience preferably in Big4
• Solid knowledge of Kazakhstani tax legislation and exposure to cross-border taxation issues
• Competence in tax technical process knowledge
• Fluent spoken and written Russian and English
• Strong tax technical writing and analytical skills
• Good analytical, organizational, delegating and coaching skills
• Ability to supervise several projects simultaneously
• Good team player, quick learner and motivated to professional development and career growth
• Availability for occasional business trips.
