Monetization — the act of making money from something:

As in, oil companies make plans to monetize associated gas, instead of just flaring it.

Peanuts — гроши, a very small amount of money:
They expect us to work for peanuts.

* earn/make/be paid peanuts They work long hours and earn peanuts.
A fine of $2 million is peanuts to an organization of that size.


Pocket money — 1) money for spending on your own personal things: I make a little pocket money delivering catalogues. 2) (informal) a small amount of money, especially an amount that is not enough:
I work really hard at this job, and all I get paid is pocket money.
