The Al Naslaa rock formation is Earth’s most bizarre geological feature
In the Saudi Arabian desert, the Al Naslaa rock formation looks completely unnatural. Its perfectly vertical split remains a mystery.
Its most unusual feature is that it's actually split in two, down the middle, with each section of the rock balanced atop a thin, small pedestal.
The Al Naslaa Rock is also a petroglyph, meaning it has various images carved into its surface. If you look closely, you may be able to spot the carved images of humans and horses. The origins of these are still unknown.
