Light enters, and I clumsily ascend,
From dreams to shared dream we comprehend,
And things regain their place, rightful and due,
As the vast present overwhelms, anew.
Vague yesterdays converge, a grand design,
Bird's ancient journey and mankind's lifeline,
Legions of Rome and Carthage, once so bold,
By iron laid to waste, their tales now told.
My daily tale as well, it starts to weave,
My voice, my visage, my fears, I do perceive,
Ah, if death's awakening could bring release,
A time devoid of memory, granting peace.
My name and all I've ever been, erased,
Ah, if that morn forgetfulness embraced.
Первые строфы вроде неплохо получились, а дальше как-то перевод не клеится.
Но глагольная рифма в конце как надо, да.
