And initially he singled out only five - purple, blue, green, yellow and red.
After a while, creating a correspondence between the number of tones of the musical scale and the number of shades of the spectrum, he added two more colors - orange and blue.
In fact, the rainbow has millions of colors and shades, most of which are simply invisible to the human eye.
